Complementary Medicine - A Ray of Hope to Achieve Wellness has launched, and we couldn’t be more excited!
The book represents a compendium of knowledge stemming from our founder, Dr. Manohan Sood’s over 40 years of success working with complementary therapies and Dr. Dinshaw Printer, who has been researching and practicing complementary medicine and alternative treatment methods for over 20 years.
The book is designed to serve as a comprehensive resource for Canadian Health care professionals covering various well-known alternative therapies that may be used to supplement conventional treatments.
This book is a compendium of various well-known alternative therapies, including nutrition, diet, herbal medicine, exercise, Homeopathy, Ayurveda, traditional Chinese medicine, acupuncture, acupressure, chiropractic, osteopathic manipulation, massage, meditation, yoga, hypnosis, naturopathy, unani, laser and alternate therapy, etc.
Alternative medicine proves to be beneficial to a person's overall well-being, as the approach focuses on healing the mind, body, and spirit. The use of alternative therapies is increasing today, therefore this book is just an attempt to make a scientific basis of most of the alternative therapies that may be used as a supplement to conventional treatments. All these therapies are difficult to define as some are well-known or useful, whereas others are exotic and mysterious or ineffective.
